I once was "that guy".

A few days ago I read the anonymous writing that was put up called "Don't Be That Guy". If you have not read it yet you should read it...memorize it...and LIVE IT! It is so true to being a true NJ Guido! So many of the writings that you have on this kick ass site are so similar to my life that I feel like I'm reading a movie script about my life, starring me!

I grew up in Jersey. In Old Bridge. About 35 minutes from Seaside and about 1 hour from the city. When I was 14 my family moved to Gary Indiana which totally SUCKED! I was young, but I was still a guido and just didn't fit in with all those mid-westerners - the chicks were NOT hot and the dudes were NOT jacked. Everybody was always making fun of me and calling me names like "greaser" and "slick" (even though I think all the chicks secretly worshipped by twin cannons). Fortunately, my parents realized that my high school years would all be a waste and we moved back to Jersey midway through my last year of high school. It KICKED ASS and I ended up getting down to the shore the next summer. Tempts, D'Jais. I partied LIKE A ROCKSTAR.

Then I went to college. Here to I screwed up BIG TIME. I went to school in Virginia which totally SUCKED. There were no guidos anywhere. I think it got to me a bit and I started ragging on the guidos that we're back home. Talk about "pot calling the kettle black"! When I got back I started working in Jersey City but was not a guido anymore. I started working as an insurance salesman and denying my guido roots. I thought that I was better than everybody else and that everybody else was not as cool as me.

Then one night last summer I ended up getting dragged down to the Shore....

Free at Last! Free at Last! Thank God Almighty, I'm free at Last!!!

GUIDO REBORN!!!

It was amazing! 5 minutes after stepping foot into Tempts, I was a guido again. I took my shirt off and just let the music take me away. The base was pumping and the girls were all so beautiful. Tanned. Great bodies. It was AWESOME!!!

So it has been 2 years now. I quit my job selling insurance and got a job working as a techy at an insurance company so that I don't have to travel and can get my weekends freed up to party. This is my 3rd straight summer at the Shore and I have been PARTYING LIKE A ROCKSTAR since!

Thanks fellow guidos. Thanks Moo. I am no longer "that guy".

THERE ARE NO EXCUSES! PARTY LIKE A ROCKSTAR!
