The other day I received an email from one of my buddy’s that directed me to your site NJGUIDO.COM. Being from NJ and currently living in Becton, Missouri while I train for the National Tae Kwon Doe Tournament.   I was ecstatic when I realized that I would be able to keep up with shore scene while I toil in the middle of nowhere.

I am originally from Clifton and spent one incredible summer hanging at Tempts two years ago and I forgot how much I missed it until I saw this site.  Looking at the photo gallery, reminds me of my first time there……….

Much like Moo, I was very intimidated by the massive guys and by far the most beautiful girls in the world.  As I made my way through the crowd to get a drink I was a little unnerved, by the sea of guys with their shirts off writhing to the beat while the girls looked on in awe of these genetic wonders.  I was worried that my many hours spent in the gym where not going to be enough to compare and that the “guidettes” would wonder what I was doing there. After a few hours a guy named Don. told me I should loosen up and go with the flow, I was needless to say, still acting like a preppy.  Then it happened, she told me her name was Lovay, she was French and she was beautiful. We spent the night dancing and getting lost in the beats thumping through the club.  I left that night with Lovay, and swore I would never go anywhere else on Saturday nights during the summer ever again.

That was two years ago and I still remember like it was today, but unlike that night I am not able to enjoy it the way I did.  I didn’t mention in the beginning of this “rambling” that I am training for the National Disabled Tae Kwon Doe Tournament, I didn’t mention that I lost one of my legs in an accident at the Inn I work at.  With a newfound appreciation of Tempts and the Jersey scene since my accident, I have to say the motto of NJGUIDO “Don’t miss a weekend there are no excuses” has taken on a whole new meaning.
