How u doin my fellow guidos and guidettes?
My mom and dad went to the Surf
Club when they were in their twenties as well as all my cousins, as a matter a
fact my uncle used to be a dj at the Surf Club in the late 70's to the early
80's. They would always tell me these stories of what an awesome time they had
going to the clubs. At the age of 14 in the summer of 86 I continued that
tradition. It was teen night, My mom pulled up in front of the Surf Club to
drop me off. I got out of the car and started to here the boom boom music from
inside the club and I thought that was really cool. I walked inside the surf
and it was the best feeling I ever had.Girls with the big hair, guys with the
slicked hair back and freestyle music was in. Right there I new I belonged in
the club scene. As I made friends over the years down the shore we built up a
great crowd to go to all the clubs together in the summer. We would go to
clubs like Bermuda club, XS, temps, Bamboo, Surf Club, you name it, we went
there. As the years go by we would lose one of our club goer's from having
boyfriend to girlfriend relationships, marriage, or they say they're to old.
Today, I am 30 years old and still party "LIKE A ROCK STAR". For my 30th
birthday last april my family and friends had a big surprise party for me at
Hunka Bunka's because that is on of my favorite clubs to go to. All I have to
say is go club your ass off because one day it will end. Enjoy your life do
the things you always wanted to do. You only live once. Party hard but most of
all do it safely.
