Anthony Moussa "TheMoo" DJ Biography
Simply Talented
Born January 16, 1979 from a very musical family, Anthony Moussa took Classical Piano lessons from the age of 6 all the way up to the age of 19. As an extremely advanced pianist, Anthony was playing at a semi-professional, concert level. Memorizing and mastering extremely difficult pieces such as Beethoven's Pathetique Sonata and several "impossible to play" pieces by Rachmaninoff, Anthony simply understands MUSIC and it's methods. This was the driving force behind his career in music all together.
A DJ from the age of 12. Anthony and his brother Simone, began DJing hiphop, freestyle and dance music. As brothers they battled in shows for their friends, they had the DJ equipment in the basement and crate after crate of records. Competition and fun as brothers helped to polish Anthony's DJ skills.
The Club Scene - Just House
Anthony grew up to love house music, at the age of 21 he broke out into he club scene with a residency at a local bar/lounge named Celebrities. There he honed his DJ Skills, programming and live mixing talents.
Getting out there
Anthony built a reputation for providing a good mix of the latest house beats with a touch of the classics. This reputation got him several residencies and plenty of guest appearances. Some of these residencies were.
Joey Harrison's Surf Club, Joey's Nightclub, Lounge 11, Celebrities, Deep NYC, DJais. In addition to residencies, Anthony has played in just about every major club in NJ such as...Taste, Deko Lounge, Temptations (RIP), Soundgarden, DJais, etc.. The Next Level
Anthony Moussa "TheMoo" has been taking time off as a DJ to pursue production of his own house beats. He has already compiled a good amount of tracks and plans to re-emerge on the club scene when his library is large enough to make a name as a producer. Some of his tracks have already been played at clubs. Recently Anthony made a remix of "Fallen Angel" by Coro, a freestyle track turned groovy house. Some tracks in the works will be released shortly.
